The First Date

Published by pitcherplus03 at 7:49 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The KissMost couples spend their first date trying to get to know each other a little bit over some glasses of cheap wine and some good food. This has been the common practice in our postmodern society for a good 30 years. The beauty of this trend is that both people are trying something new together and loving every moment of it.

So I take Nichole out to my favorite place to eat, an unnamed bbq place that has the best ribs in the area. As we sit down to order I look over to see a confused and almost angry look on her face, “whats wrong?” I ask. She replies to me with a very serious “Nothing looks good to me.”

***TIME OUT***

Food is a passion to me, I was raised by a set of parents who did everything in their power to have me eat well. Now I am sitting across from a girl who thinks nothing on a BBQ menu looks good. What had I gotten myself into? I immediately thought about us going out to dinner with my parents to our favorite French restaurant in my home town and her having a side salad with a glass of water… Okay, back to the story.

As I ordered up a hotlink sandwich with coleslaw on top and garlic fries, My love orders the childrens chicken fingers with ranch on the side and potato wedges. Seriously? Chicken fingers from a BBQ joint? Well we finished our meal and got to talking and I had to ask her; do you really not like food… honestly? She then proceeded to tell me about how much she loves her moms cooking and how trying new things is something that she just does not due.

Checklist of things that would be new to her:

Sushi, Non panda express Chinese food, pasta, fillet mignon, dim sum.. etc…etc

Well we finished our meal and headed out to the car to drive back to our dorms, but before I could open her door she grabbed me by the shirt and kissed me. THE BEST KISS EVER! I was at a loss for words, a girl I had immediate second thoughts about made me fall instantly in love with her with such a spontaneous act. My life to that point had been lacking excitement, and from that kiss I felt that excitement returning to my life.

We drove home that night and talked about everything you could imagine, I will always remember my first kiss with the love of my life.

Moral of the story: No matter how different you may seem at the first date, anyone and anything can surprise you can give you one of those moments that stick with you forever! The Kiss

LIVE GREAT EVERYONE!
